Who We Are
Shane Bothwell and Andrea (nee Scott) Bothwell met while working in law enforcement in Grand Cayman, nearly 20 years ago. Our respective careers evolved into fields we were most passionate about - security services for Shane and training administration for Andrea. We found that our individual fields complemented each other in, what turns out to be, inseparable ways.
World events and technology continually change security standards. Effective management of employee training is the right-hand to maintaining an effective security programme. We live in a time of close scrutiny on personal safety and security combined with high service expectations. This reality propelled us to launch our company; one that intersects our areas of expertise and provides the Caribbean region and Cayman Islands government entities a highly educated and experienced Caymanian, with Shane as the CEO. We know that excellent management drives excellent strategy, safety is key to thriving Caribbean tourism and modern security measures in our Cayman Islands regulatory and statutory services result in increased cost savings and enhanced public confidence.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Shane understands the Caribbean business culture and the importance of assurance as much as he is a qualified expert in security related matters and equipment. This is the business acumen that sets AVSEC Caribbean apart. With ambitious devotion to four key areas of: security programs, security inspections & audits, security equipment and training administration, each business partner brings an exceptional level of experience, diligence, and qualified knowledge that makes AVSEC Caribbean the best comprehensive solution for Caribbean clients especially those in the Cayman Islands.
